Cynthia Nixon Lands A Miniseries With A Big Budget!!!

Hell yeah, she's one of the most under-rated actresses of our time!!!

Sex And The City's Cynthia Nixon seems to be having a good run of it these days. Just a few months after her partner, Christine Marinoni, gave birth to the couples baby boy, Max Nixon-Marinoni, Cynthia has landed herself a role in a new Starz miniseries by the name of World Without End!!!

This $44 million production will also star the likes of Miranda Richardson and Ben Chaplin, with it's premise being:

"Set in England 200 years after the events in Pillars, World chronicles tough times for ordinary citizens who are being hit with enormous taxes by the King, the Church as England teeters on the brink of a devastating 100-year war with France, and Europe is bracing for a terrible plague, which will wipe out a third of the continent's population."
"The mini centers on Caris, a visionary woman who, with her lover Merthin, builds a community that stands up to the Crown and the Church."

Sounds interesting to say the least. Cynthia will not be playing the lead role, but we're sure whoever she is in the series, she'll blow us away!!!

Michelle Trachtenberg Headed For Weeds!!!

And she's gonna be HIIIIIIIIGGGGGHHHHHH as a kite by then!!!

Buffy and Gossip Girl star Michelle Trachtenberg will be making a 2 episode guest-star appearance in Weeds upcoming 7th season as a love interest for Silas and a rival dealer for Nancy, what else!!!

The only shame in this news is that she will only be on the show for two episodes, no one plays bad like Michelle, they should give her more time to be really bad!!!

Julie Benz Is Engaged!!!

Seems wedding bells are in the air lately!!!

Dexter's Julie Benz has announced that she is recently engaged to her current beau Rich Orosco, who proposed to her last Sunday.

The couple then celebrated their impending nuptials with a party of close family and friend, and a Mariachi band. Ariba!!!!!!!!!!

Julie had this to say about the news:

"I can't believe that none of my friends leaked the surprise. It was like a Navy Seal operation."

So lovely, and such good news for the couple!!!

Ugly Betty's America Ferrera Gets Hitched!!!

Ugly Betty actress America Ferrera and long-time boyfriend Ryan Piers Williams got married last night in a private ceremony made up of close family and friends.

The not-so-ugly bride wore a dress by Amsale's Christos label, and the couple have never looked happier apparently.

The Toys Are Back In Town, For A Fourth Time!!!

A fourth movie might be spreading the franchise a little thin, I mean, look at Shrek!!!!!!!

But never-the-less, Sheriff Woody himself, Tom Hanks, has recently come forth and told us all that there will indeed be a Toy Story 4.

When asked by the BBC News if there will be a Toy Story 4 for his grand-daughter to watch, Hanks replied:

"I think there will be yeah. Yeah, yeah, think they're working on it now. There you go."

Exciting!!!! As long as they don't mess it up like with Cars 2, mind you Toy Story 3 was awesome so we'll just wait and see fellow readers.

My dads, Tony and Tom, went to Supanova 2011 in Perth this last weekend, celebrating everything sci-fi, anime, and geeky..... A real nerd-fest yes, but what a fun one!!!!!

They had the pleasure of meeting three of their favourite TV show stars: James Marsters (above, from Buffy/Angel and Torchwood), Gareth David-Lloyd (from Torchwood) and Amy Acker (from Angel and Dollhouse).

A Gay Marriage Proposal At A Kylie Concert... How Appropriate!!!

And it was soooooooo lovely too!!!!!!!

Last Wednesday, my two dads attended the Kylie's Aphrodite Concert in Perth, Western Australia, and were delighted to see a beautiful display of emotion unfold on-stage halfway through.

Kylie stopped her concert to pull two men on-stage, Ben and Scott, who were there celebrating their 9th anniversary, when Ben popped the question on Scott!!!!! Happily, the outcome was positive, and the love from the crowd was palpable.
