Dead Dolphins Found Tied To A Concrete Block!!!

Absolutely disgusting and so very tragic!!!!!

Seeing as I am a dog, and the adopted daughter of two animal rights activists, you will find that we here at World According To Sookie DO NOT tolerate animal abuse in any way, shape or form!!! You might also find some of the material on this website confronting to look at/read, so be warned.....

For example, two rare Snubfin dolphins were recently found dead, after someone/s had tied them to a concrete block and drowned them!!!

The bodies were found at Toolakea Beach, just North of Townsville in Queensland, Australia, and Great Barrier Reef Conservatists are outraged by the grisly find, made two weeks ago. Some have speculated that the "under threat" dolphins were caught up in a fishing net and have died that way, before being tied to the concrete block to hide their remains, but either way, authorities are displeased. Spokesman Mick Bishop of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority had this to say:

"Snubfin dolphins inhabit the inshore waters of northern Australia and they face a number of threats, particularly from coastal development, habitat loss and illegal netting.

The two dolphins seem to have been anchored in a location where they would be exposed on every low tide and inevitably would be found.

There has been a clear attempt to conceal the bodies of these dolphins. This just seems like illogical behaviour."

Just appalling and completely avoidable too....
