Cynthia Nixon Lands A Miniseries With A Big Budget!!!

Hell yeah, she's one of the most under-rated actresses of our time!!!

Sex And The City's Cynthia Nixon seems to be having a good run of it these days. Just a few months after her partner, Christine Marinoni, gave birth to the couples baby boy, Max Nixon-Marinoni, Cynthia has landed herself a role in a new Starz miniseries by the name of World Without End!!!

This $44 million production will also star the likes of Miranda Richardson and Ben Chaplin, with it's premise being:

"Set in England 200 years after the events in Pillars, World chronicles tough times for ordinary citizens who are being hit with enormous taxes by the King, the Church as England teeters on the brink of a devastating 100-year war with France, and Europe is bracing for a terrible plague, which will wipe out a third of the continent's population."
"The mini centers on Caris, a visionary woman who, with her lover Merthin, builds a community that stands up to the Crown and the Church."

Sounds interesting to say the least. Cynthia will not be playing the lead role, but we're sure whoever she is in the series, she'll blow us away!!!

Michelle Trachtenberg Headed For Weeds!!!

And she's gonna be HIIIIIIIIGGGGGHHHHHH as a kite by then!!!

Buffy and Gossip Girl star Michelle Trachtenberg will be making a 2 episode guest-star appearance in Weeds upcoming 7th season as a love interest for Silas and a rival dealer for Nancy, what else!!!

The only shame in this news is that she will only be on the show for two episodes, no one plays bad like Michelle, they should give her more time to be really bad!!!

True Blood's Season 5 May Be It's Last!!!

Oh say it isn't so!!!!!!!!!!!

True Blood creator Alan Ball is still in negotiations for season 5, just as season 4 begins, however he says he may not have anymore seasons in him after that:

“I don’t know if I have any left in me after that. We’ll see .. I think if we did 13 seasons we’d have to address why vampires are aging. Maybe there would be a bad batch of Tru Blood. … With the supernatural thing you can always go places storywise that you couldn’t go on another show.”

Yeah, so, go with that storyline then........ WE NEED OUR NAME-SAKE TO BE AROUND FOREVER!!!!!!!!

However, in saying that, we don't want it to be one of those series that out-stays it's welcome, so maybe an early wrap up might do it justice. Hmmmm, stay tuned.

Glee Kids To Graduate In Season 3!!!

But.... Then...... Like...... Who's going to takeover the roles of Highschool Glee Clubbers?????

Glee's creator Ryan Murphy was asked that very same question lately, and here's how he responded:

“This next [season] will be their senior year, and then that [they] will graduate. We didn’t want to have a show where they were in high school for eight years. We really wanted to be true to that experience.”

“There’s a couple rumors floating around, that half the cast is go to be replaced by the winner of The Glee Project, which is not true."

We've already read that show favourite Lea Michele (who plays diva Rachel Barry) will refuse to leave the show even after her character graduates, so it could be interesting to see just how some of our favourite Glee kids stay on, and who will be the new generation???

True Blood Character Goes Gay!!!

Another one??? It's going to be Gay Blood by the time the seasons up, not that there's anything wrong with that lol!!!!!!!!!

Well, the rumour mill has been in overdrive yet again, and has set it's sites on True Blood. As if the first 8 minutes wasn't enough to wet your appetite, it seem series creator Alan Ball has a surprise installed for the audience, in the form of the "outing" of one of the main characters!!!!!!

Lips are sealed tightly as to who it may be, but sources tell us not only will we know who it is by the end of the first episode, but that it won't come as too much of a shock either.

Hmmmmm, our monies on Pam, Vampire Eric's right-hand-woman..... We've seen her dip into the proverbial honey-pot once before, so it makes sense.....

CSI Wins Top Gong For Most-Watched TV Show!!!

It seems viewers love a good forensics who-done-it!!!!!!

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation has reached top honours for the fourth time in the last six years as the most-watched TV show, according to data collected by Eurodata TV Worldwide.

The crime-drama has been ranked number one over 5 continents, including (our very own) Australia!!!

That's a pretty impressive feat considering it's been on the air now for around 11 years!!!

Karl Stefanovic FAIL: Dalai Lama Joke Falls Flat, On Dalai Lama Himself!!!

We're embarrassed to call him an Australian.... and a Logie winner WTF!!!!!!!

Today show host and all around douche-bag Karl Stefanovic thought it would be HILARIOUS to tell the Dalai Lama a Dalai Lama joke..... What followed is one of the most awkward moments on Australian TV ever, and has now becoming a laughing point the world-wide, going viral online!!!

We don't know what prompted him to do this, but we are glad he is now being humiliated for it, it was the Dalai Lama after all.... WHAT WAS HE THINKING??? LMAO!!!!!!!

NBC just closed a deal with Columbia Records create the soundtrack to their own upcoming musical venture, Smash. But wait, there's more!!! The shows star, Katharine McPhee, has been given her own solo recording contract.

Wow!!! Guess Steven Spielberg has improved on where Glee went wrong with their stars contracts.

Looks like its going to be a Smash-hit!!! Can't wait to see it!!!

Oprah Wanted For Parks & Recreation Ex-Wife Role!!!

Bahahaha YES, this would be hilarious!!!

Parks and Recreation star Nick Offerman, a.k.a councilman Ron Swanson, is seeking out the acting abilities of Oprah Winfrey to portray his "terrifying" first wife, Tammy.

Offerman recently had this to say in an interview with TV Addict:

"I actually think it would be amazing because Oprah is such an amazing actor and I'm sure she could play someone who is really scary. Who knows, it could be a fun turn now that she's got time on her hands."

Offerman's real-life wife, Megan Mullally of Will and Grace fame, is set to be creating a Facebook petition to sway Oprah to take part in the role. Funnily enough, Mullally also played Ron Swanson's second ex-wife in the show, also named Tammy.

This would be fantastic, especially now that she's got time to kill!!!

Chris Lilley Not Concerned With Critics As Angry Boys Numbers Stays High!!!

NATHAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For those who haven't tuned in to ABC1 on Wednesday nights at 9pm, do so IMMEDIATELY!!!!!

Chris Lilley's new adventure into the lives of the everyday man/boy, is a hit with viewers around the country, despite taking a bit of a numbers blow from the airing of State Of Origin in the last few weeks.

The man himself says he's copped a lot of flack from critics, especially in regards to his characters racist rants, but he says it's all in good fun, as have all his shows have been:

I think there was so much expectation with the last show and its journalists being smart arses. More people have watched this than anything I've ever done. It is a heavier show and goes into darker places — it's meant to be entertaining not just funny. I don't want to repeat myself and if I had done Summer Heights High Two, the critics would have bagged that too. Angry Boys may not be for everyone, but certainly the numbers are showing most people are pretty supportive.

Despite some critics reviews, Angry Boys remains a top favourite on Wednesdays nights viewings, bringing in an average of 1.2 million viewers a week.

Tune in!!!!!!!!!!! I promise you wont regret it!!!!!

Rafters Star Goes 60's Gangster In New Hollywood Role!!!

Packed To The Rafters star, Jessica Marais, has recently landed herself her first Hollywood gig!!!

She'll be staring alongside Greys Anatomy hunk Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Bond girl Olga Kurylenko, in a new US series, based around a crime gang which operates out of a Miami hotel in the 1960's. The show, titled The Magic City, will begin filming in early July of this year, bypassing the usual pilot process that most new shows have had to go through lately.

Sounds interesting, hope it works out for her!!!

No More Cougars In Cougar Town Next Season!!!

Finally, executive producer Bill Lawrence is putting his foot down, and has decided that season 3 of this underrated comedy will see a new name altogether!!!

In a recent interview he had this to say:

You have no idea how much it hurts me and [executive producer] Kevin [Biegel] to see that title on the screen knowing that we had something to do with it. [Laughs] It’s such a played-out joke and we just feel dumb in retrospect. This is the same as people saying “Keri Russell’s hair killed Felicity” — if this show goes away before it’s time, it was because we were dumb enough to name it Cougar Town. And there’s nothing we can do about it. If Cougar Town stays the show’s title, we plan to mock it until the end of time because we hate it so much. It will ultimately be our Simpsons-like opening gag until, emotionally, it doesn’t hurt our souls so much.

And then he followed this up on Twitter by adding:

Screw it. I'm changing it (if Kevin's cool w it. Someone ask him for me). Seriously, we just decided. Will use fans to help w new title.

To answer many of you: Kevin and I titled the show. It helped sell it, plus we thought we'd do campy show about woman re-entering world.

Now Cougar Town is show about adult friendships and drinking. And it's called Cougar Town. I hate myself.

Yes, 22 episodes next year, and yes: when we change the title we will still do mocking title cards.

Our new title will suck and we will mock that, too…

Last year we wanted to change to "SUNSHINE STATE" or "Grown Ups" but couldn't due to TV show (Mr. Sunshine) and movie (horrifying Grown Ups)

Yay!!!!! Cougar Town is hilarious, but has nothing to do with it's title, it'll only do the show good to have a change!!!! I reckon it should be called the Culdesac Crew..... or Pounding Grape lmao!!!!

Season 4 Of Torchwood Is Set To Be Steamy, Despite Moving To The US!!!

It seems Captain Jack Harkness's penchant for steamy affairs with men, women and pretty much anything with a heart-beat, will not be watered down for his new-found home on the US network Starz.

Season 4 of Torchwood, titled Miracle Day, will air on the 8th July 2011, and the star himself has assured us he will be keeping his "healthy sexual appetite" right where it belongs. Josh Barrowman, a.k.a Captain Jack Harkness, explains how, despite the US network move, he is still 'excited' to be working on the series:

"[Jack] gets to have full-on boy-sex a couple of times. On those days going to work I'd wake up and Scott my partner would say, 'What are you filming today?' And I'd say, 'Oh it's going to be a tough day, I get to have sex with a 24 year old.'"

Hmmmmm, sounds like hard work to us!!! Good to see the US audiences aren't impacting on this great show though, should be a good season.

They're back on TV, and its about time!!!!!

Radio and Entertainment Personalities, Hamish Blake and Andy Lee, are coming back to TV with their new show, Hamish & Andy's Gap Year... And it seems their destination is the Big Apple of the US Eye, New York City.

Fellow readers be soothed, the boys have been given complete creative control, so we can expect nothing but the antic we're used to from this dorky duo, and then some. The Nine Network will be their home for the time being, and the show is marked as "coming soon", so stay tuned for more readers.

Kristin Chenoweth Sings Wicked For Oprah!!!

Sooooooo beautiful, and actually tear-jerking!!!

In honour of Oprah's work with providing education to African-American men in the US, a few (hundred) of them came out to show their support on her second last show. To make the moment even more special, Glee star, and former Glinda from the original Broadway production of Wicked, Kristin Chenoweth, serenaded the men as they walked out in celebration of Oprah and her achievement. Singing Wicked's crowning song, For Good, there was sure to not be a dry seat in the house.

Dancing Her Way Down The Dress Sizes!!!

Kirstie Alley has been copping a lot of flack these days because of her weight. But it looks like she's getting the last laugh after all!!!

The 60 year old actress (yes, 60!!!!!) did not make it to the winners podium on her latest gig in Dancing With The Stars US, however, she's managed to kick the kilos to the curb side whilst dancing the night away. She says shes gone from a size 12 to a "stretchy size 6", that's US sizes BTW!!!!

"[Dancing With The Stars] has made me alive again. It's given me a new view of what I want to do in my life."
