So sad.
It's just been brought to my attention by my Dr Who-loving dad that Elisabeth Sladen, who played the recurring role of Sarah Jane Smith in the series, and it's spinoff The Sarah Jane Adventures, had passed away on the 19th April 2011.
The actress lost her life to cancer, which she had been battling for several months prior.
I know many Dr Who fans still mourn this wonderful women; as do her family, friends and peers. We wish them all our sincerest condolences for the loss of a great actress and a remarkable woman. :-(
